City schools & Higher Taxes?

Recently, citizens have been asking me about my stance on City Schools. Let me be very clear, my agenda in running is to support our phenomenal schools. My three children have been in Williamson County Schools since Kindergarten and it has been a tremendously positive experience. I want to prioritize the needs of our current school system by working with County Commissioners, the School Board and the Brentwood City Commissioners.

I am not advocating City Schools. However, as I’ve stated publicly since 2017, I am open to conducting a feasibility study on municipal schools if that is what citizens are requesting. That is the only way we can thoroughly and responsibly assess this path. But I have no hidden agenda to get into office to create a City School system and raise taxes to do so. My absolute purpose in running for City Commissioner is to be able to represent the citizens of Brentwood, address their interests, and protect our values and the character of our city.

Please know this: I am transparent, honest and I strive to communicate with integrity and passion. My stance on this issue has not wavered. I invite you to read this Brentwood Homepage article from April, 2017 where my point of view on the feasibility study as well as my support and appreciation for both the County and the City Commissioners and their hard work is evident. I’m Committed to safety!

My campaign season has been busy but I’m thoroughly enjoying going to the Citizen’s Police Academy every Thursday night for 3-4 hours over 10 weeks.

I Will Support our Law Enforcement & Fire Department

I’m sure you are aware of the recent rash of crime - a car stolen from River Oaks the night of the Super Bowl and the recent incident in Fountainhead where an officer was injured when the man driving a stolen car swerved to avoid the spike strip and hit the police officers car and the car then hit the officer.

Please follow my Political Facebook Page for ongoing updates.
